Becky Jean Arthur

Becky Jean (Rime) Arthur, the daughter of Linda Rime was born July 20, 1970 at Minot, North Dakota.  She died unexpectedly and suddenly at the age of 42 years on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in the ER of Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, North Dakota.

Becky’s life began with her mother and sister Lorrie in Minot.  Her mother, Linda decided to take her two little girls and move to California, where her twin sister, Lavonne resided.  Becky was baptized into the Lutheran faith in California and started grade school there.  When Becky was seven years old, her mother passed away from leukemia.  At the age of eleven, the girls were split apart and went to live with family members, Becky moving to Minot to live with her aunt Lorraine and family.  Becky continued her schooling in Minot, graduating with high honors in 1989 from Minot High School.  Following high school, she worked various jobs in Minot, while also taking care of her baby son, Joshua, who she loved with all her heart.  Later, Becky and her family made their home in Michigan and Kansas for a few years, returning to Minot.  After her return to Minot, Becky took employment with the Trinity Homes as a CNA.  On April 5, 2008, she was united in marriage to Kris Arthur of Rugby at the Trinity Homes Chapel.  Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Minot until 2010, when they moved to Rugby to manage the Arthur family business in Rolette.  In 2012, Becky took employment with the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby in their housekeeping department.

Becky was a loving wife, mother and homemaker…a very special kind of person and a dedicated worker who will be missed by those whose lives she touched.   She enjoyed movies, country western music, gardening, children and animals.  She greatly enjoyed caring for her grandnephew, Payton on occasion and other children when she could.

Survivors include her husband, Kris; one son, Josh Rime of Rugby; two sisters, Lorrie Rime of Sacramento, California and Vicky Martinez of Stockton, California; an aunt, Lorraine Bell of Minot; her mother-in-law, Janice Arthur of Rugby; brothers-in-law, Dwight (Zana) Gunderson, Hal (Elaine) Gunderson, Craig (Donna) Gunderson, Brian (Karla) Gunderson, Kurt Arthur and Chad (Becky Lynn) Arthur; sister-in-law, Myrna Arthur (Dennis) Anderson; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother; two uncles, one aunt and her grandparents.
