Brenda Lee Humble, the daughter of Fred and Gloria (Schneider) Vetsch was born on November 13, 1965 in Maddock, North Dakota.  She died at the age of 49 years peacefully at her home in Wolford, North Dakota on Monday, December 1, 2014.

Brenda was raised in Esmond, North Dakota and attended school there, graduating in 1985.  While in high school she worked at the Gloria’s Restaurant, waitressing and cooking.  On June 4, 1988, she was united in marriage to Benny Humble.  Following their marriage they made their home and farmed near Pleasant Lake.  In 1991, they moved to the ‘family’ farm near Wolford, where they continued to farm and milk cows.  She gave birth to their son, Dustin James in 1992.  She was diagnosed with cancer in 2001 which she battled through and came back strong, allowing her to enjoy many good things in life.  She was involved in 4-H for 11 years serving as a leader of the Lucky Horseshoes.  She was a member of the North Dakota Quarter Horse Association for 30 years, enjoying horse shows.  She also worked at Ben Franklin and Bob’s Pizza.  In 2007, she was once again diagnosed with cancer.  She had many special events that she used mini-goals to help her survive.  Her love of animals also kept her going.  She had a large variety, from her horse, Chalico to miniature horses, emus, pot belly pigs, llamas, Scottish highland cattle, fainting goats, bunnies, exotic chickens, and her little yorkie dog, Dixie.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Benny of Wolford; son, Dustin and his fiancé, Jaiden Creary of Wolford; her parents, Fred and Gloria Vetsch of Rugby; brothers, Larry (Margret) of Rugby, Dwayne of Minot, and Donald (Melissa) of Esmond; grandma Anna Harmon of Maddock; several nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents George and Agnes Vetsch and Jacob Schneider; and niece and nephew.
