Christine Ann Solberg

Christine Ann Solberg, 77, of Pontiac, IL and formerly of Rugby, ND, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at OSF HealthCare Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac, IL.

Christine Ann Sundvor was born on March 4, 1940, in Edinburg, ND, the daughter of Christian and Anna (Bjerke) Sundvor. She graduated from Oak Grove Lutheran High School in Fargo, ND, and continued her education at the University of North Dakota. Christine married her high school sweetheart Kenneth R. Solberg on November 6, 1960, in Edinburg, ND. She and Ken owned and operated Rugby Livestock in Rugby, ND for over 30 years. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was a Heart of America Medical Center Auxiliary member.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Tom (Cindy) Solberg of Bismarck, ND; Brad (Sara) Solberg of Pontiac, IL; and Stacy (Brent) Schubloom of Woodland Park, CO. She is also survived by her grandchildren Erik Solberg of Columbus, OH; Jon Solberg of Minneapolis, MN; Sam Solberg of Fargo, ND; Melissa Solberg of Duluth, MN; and Jackson Schubloom of Woodland Park, CO.; her brother Harold Sundvor of Edinburg, ND, as well as many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Ken (Oct. 7, 2007), her parents, and sisters Ada and Elaine.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rugby with burial in the Persilla Watts Cemetery, Rugby.  Pastor Barbara Haugerud, officiate.

Visitation with family & friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby and will continue Monday for one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Tom, Brad and Stacy, So sorry to hear of your loss. Thank you Tom for the call. We have very good memories of many years at Rugby, especially at Hope Free Lutheran Church and also the sale barn. Our thoughts and prayers are with you kids as you go through the tasks of arrangements etc. May God bless and comfort you during this time.
