Curtis John Bohl, the son of John and Alice (Eisenzimmer) Bohl was born November 17, 1966 in Rugby, North Dakota. He died at the age of 52 years on Sunday, April 14, 2019 on his family farm from injuries sustained in a farm machinery accident.
Curtis was raised in the farm home of his parents near Balta, North Dakota and attended Little Flower Catholic School through the sixth grade and graduated from Rugby High School in the class of 1985. He completed his education at Bismarck State College earning his Associates Degree in Farm & Ranch Management. Following his college, he returned to the family farm, helping his parents with its operation. For many years, Curtis and his mother milked cows, besides his other chores. After downsizing the herd, he went to work for Rugby Manufacturing as a welder and often would train the newly employed welders. He also was a part time rural mail carrier for several years. He was a very kind hearted person, always willing to help friends and neighbors. Curtis was a talented mechanic and “jack of all trades” with a keen sense of humor. Deer hunting with his cousins and uncle was the only thing that took him away from the farm. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus and served many terms on the Tuscorora Township Board and the Church Council.
