Darek Keller

Darek Lance Keller, the son of Lance and Julie (Brandt) Keller was born on October 15, 1972 in Rugby, North Dakota.  He died at the age of 46 years on Sunday, June 23, 2019 near his home in rural Bantry, North Dakota. 

 

Darek was raised in the Upham area and was baptized and confirmed at the Bloomfeld Lutheran Church in Upham.  He graduated from Upham High School the class of 1991 and attended Fargo AeroTek School.  He worked for Aggregate Construction out of Minot for 12 years, then ranched in Stanley before moving to Bantry to ranch with his uncle.  He enjoyed the outdoors, wildlife and loved his cows.

 

Darek is survived by his parents, Lance and Julie of Upham; his grandmother, Elaine Brandt of Upham; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fred Brandt and grandparents, Edgar and May Keller.    

 

 

Memorial services  will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 1 at the New Hope Lutheran Church in Upham with burial in the Bantry Cemetery.  Wally Fretland, Officiating.

On behalf of the family, we wish to express their gratitude for your many acts of kindness evidenced in prayers, thoughts and deed and for your attendance at the funeral service.  There will be a time of fellowship immediately following the funeral service and burial at the Upham Legion Hall.
