Hello Brad, I am not sure that you know me, but you may have heard your dad speak of me and my friend, Duane Stadler, from Wisconsin. We used to goose hunt out of Rugby, with Gary Mayer and his friend Bob, and we met your dad in the coffee shop, and saw him every morning and some afternoons, as well, and ALWAYS enjoyed his company, and goose hunting knowledge. When the outfitters moved in from Devils Lake, we quit goose hunting and started pheasant hunting near Bowman, and never returned to Rugby. Duane and I had called a couple times, trying to catch your dad at home, but no luck. This is the time of year we used to come to Rugby, so it's been on my mind again. With the computer, now days, one can find out just about anything, so I searched your mom and dad's names and ultimately found, sadly, obituaries. My heart sank, a bit. We had so many "Frank" stories, and your mom once made me a sour cream and raisin pie! Sadly, too, I lost my friend Duane to cancer 3 years a go. I've often thought of coming back to Rugby one last time, maybe hunt with Gary, for old times sake. If I do, I will look you up. I hope you get this, somehow...your parents were very special to a couple Wisconsin boys! I am sad they are gone from you, but I'm sure they've gotten together with Duane somewhere over the rainbow.
Take care, Gregg Tallier, PO Box 361, Wabeno, WI 54566. 715.889.0274
