Dorothy Miller

Dorothy Mae Miller, the daughter of Ashley and Emma (Lee) Cline was born on October 15, 1921 in Pleasant Lake, North Dakota.  She died at the age of 93 years on August 31, 2015 at the Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Dorothy worked at Cora’s Dress Shop and Myhre’s Fashions for 27 years.  She volunteered at the Heart of America Medical Center as a greeter, volunteering over 1500 hours.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Emmanuel United Church of Rugby.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Linda Modrow of Outing, Minnesota and Sandra Jacobson of Balta; three grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; grandson, Michael Modrow; sisters, Eva Frydenlund, Frances Wappes and Alice Rogelstad; brother, Raymond Cline; and her parents.

The Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Persilla Watts Cemetery, Rugby.  Rev. Mike Pretzer, officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby.

Linda & Sandy, I was saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing.  Your memories of the fun times you had together will be the treasures that help you through this difficult time.  She was a special lady! She always was interested in how me & my family were doing & kept me posted on your families.
