Frank Thomas Graybill

Frank Thomas Graybill was born Oct. 29, 1929 to Clarence and Marie Graybill at the Rolla Hospital.  He was raised in the St. John, ND area and attended the St. John School. He furthered his education at the Bottineau School of Forestry, Minot Teachers College and the ND Agricultural College (Fargo).

He was drafted into the Army in 1951, graduated from OCS as a 2nd Lt, CE. He spent 9 months in Korea during the Korean Conflict before being discharged in 1953. Frank married Iona Elizabeth Johnson on January 16, 1955. Frank taught school for a total of 4 years including in a country school near Lake Upsilon. He later spent 40+ years doing carpentry and woodworking.  Frank was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on April 25, 1964. He always enjoyed sharing his faith with others in Bible discussions, which he shared until the time of his death.

Frank passed away January 18th, 2017 at the HAMC Care Center in Rugby.

Survivors: Iona-wife of 62 years, Daughter: Loanne (John) Thornberg-Knox, ND, Grandsons: Cameron Thornberg-Knox, ND and Cassidy Thornberg-International Falls, MN. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Three younger sisters-Betty, Ruth and Vera and a set of infant twins.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Rugby.  Address: 301 5th Ave NW, Rugby, ND. Everyone is welcome.
