Gladyce Ruth Wolf

Gladyce Ruth (Christensen) Wolf, the daughter of Gerhard and Geoline (Flolo) Christensen, was born February 7, 1926 in Manfred, North Dakota.  She died at the age of 91 years on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her home in the Benedictine Living Center in Garrison, North Dakota.

Gladyce, one of five children in her family, was raised in the home of her parents; first in Manfred, then in 1932 in Knox where she received her education, graduating from Knox High School.  On July 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Mike Wolf in Rugby.  The couple made their home, started their family, and owned and operated the Knox Bar until they retired to Rugby, North Dakota in 1974.  Mike died on July 19, 1977. Gladyce resided in Rugby until moving to the Benedictine Living Center in Garrison in April 2016.

She was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Minnesota Twins and Vikings and was a member of the Knox American Legion Auxiliary.  Gladyce enjoyed crossword puzzles and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Prosser of Palm Harbor, Florida, Mike (Pam) Wolf and Patrick Wolf, all of Bismarck; daughter-in-law Marge (Robert) Wolf, nine grandchildren, Chris and David Wolf, Amy and Rebecca Prosser, Michael, Steven and Ryan Wolf, Christian and Alixandra Wolf; seven great grandchildren; special niece, Karen (Paul) Tufte of York; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Robert; four siblings and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Rugby with burial in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Knox.

Very sorry to hear about your mom. I enjoyed caring for her, she was such a fun lady to be around. She often talked to me about her family, that meant so much to her.
