On May 25, 1979, she was united in marriage to Arthur Buchl at the Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby.  Following their marriage, the couple made their home and worked in the community of Rugby.  For the past five months, the couple was living in Cando to be closer to family.  She enjoyed membership in the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Little Flower Catholic Church were she served in many lay volunteer positions, a member of the Good Samaritan Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, an acappella singing group and was tremendously involved with the Senior Citizens.  In her spare time, she was an avid reader and loved travel and going to auctions.
