Irene Lorraine (Rankin) Jackson, the daughter of Arvada and Myrtle Rankin was born January 13, 1923 in Upham, ND. She died August 28, 2019 at the age of 96 in the Heart of America Medical Center.

Irene was raised in Upham and Makoti. She graduated from Makoti High School, and attended Beauty School in Minneapolis, MN. She was a beautician in MN, KS, TX, and CA.  She married Robert Bundy in 1942. They later divorced, and she married Richard (Jack) Jackson, Jr. in 1963.

After retiring in the 1990s Irene and Jack moved to Bend, OR. Then in October 2016, as a widower, Irene moved to Minot, ND where she lived until moving to Heart of America in Rugby.

Irene is survived by her sons, Jeff Bundy (Annemarie) and Richard Jackson, III (Trish); her sister Pat Thompson (Gayland); her grandsons Gabriel and Vincent; her granddaughter Michelle; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents, brother Arvada Jr., sister Myrna, husband Richard Jackson, and grandson Aaron.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with burial in the Roseglen Cemetery.
