Linda Rae Trottier

Linda Rae (Holum) Trottier, the daughter of William and Evelyn Holum was born on April 26, 1948 in St. John, North Dakota.  She died at the age of 67 years on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 surrounded by loved ones in her home in Rugby, North Dakota.

Linda was raised in the home of her parents and was the youngest of six children.  She attended St. John public school where she graduated high school.  She continued her education becoming a registered nurse.  On July 26, 1968 she was united in marriage to Martin Royland Trottier.  The couple made their home in St. John for a number of years until they moved to Rugby.  She worked as a nurse for the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby.  She enjoyed feeding the birds, being with her dogs, and tending to her flower beds.  She was a strong, gracious woman who will be missed.

Linda is survived by her children, Tina Trottier (Gordon), Shauna Trottier-Belgarde, Bradley Trottier (Jessica) and Eric Trottier (Rebecca) all of Rugby; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded by her loving husband, Martin; her siblings and parents.

Family and friends may visit from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 25th at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby.  A family service will be held in Belcourt.
