Maggie grew up on the family farm northwest of Towner.  She attended country school until going to high school in Towner, graduating in 1957.  She furthered her education in Minot and soon moved back to the family ranch.  She worked as a Nurses Assistant in Rugby.  On March 1, 1968 she was united in marriage to Curtis Lazier in Towner.  The couple moved to Upham for a few years, before moving and making their home in Towner in 1972.  Curtis died on January 18, 2003.  Maggie continued to live in their home until her death.  She was currently delivering meals on wheels in Towner and had for several years.  In previous years, she has been the janitor at the Presbyterian Church and Johnson Clinic.  She took care of and would drive her granddaughters, Alex and Kate, wherever they needed to go.  She also babysat her youngest granddaughter, Isabelle and would go tuck her in at bedtime.  Her late dog, Peanut and new dog, Cookie were very spoiled, and she would take them everywhere she would go, no matter what time of year it was.  She enjoyed playing bunco and going to the Senior Center.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

Maggie is survived by her son, Lee (Le Ann) of Towner; granddaughters, Alexandra of Arkansas, Katelyn of Minot and Isabelle of Towner; sister-in-law, Clara Lee of Omaha, NE; many nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis; brothers, Dick, James (Clovis) and Tom Lee; Parents-in-law, John and Margaret (Bell) Lazier; in-laws, Marlene, Roselia, Nettie, Ruby, Carol and William and her parents.

Posted Condolences:

Maggie was an inspiration to us.Every day she would make her Senior Meal deliveries whether rain or shine. Then she would come to our table at the Ranch House where she had her special place. We miss her so. Maggie was a kind, loving, member of our town. May she rest in God's care.

My sympathy to Maggie's family. Remembering long ago visits to Bantry,  the Lee ranch, and sharing family times.

So sad to read about Maggie's passing. Such a remarkable person.  Looking forward to seeing her in a world where the causes of pain and sorrow will be a thing of the past. How exciting it will be to see her again doing all things she loved. Our sincerest condolences.
