My heart goes out to your entire family. I'll never forget Omar, he was my first "boss" while on the Deering School board. I simply cannot remember a time when I met or saw Omar that he did not have a big smile or a friendly attitude. I have the fondest memories of working with Omar on school issues, talking (and bothering?) Bea while she was trying to cook for the school kids, and teaching you three "kids" Dean, Lisa, and Joe. My heart and prayers go out to each and every one of you during your time of loss. Stay strong and take care of each other.

It has been many years since I've seen the Hamnes family, however Dad was just in Rapid City for a visit and many of our stories were of those years when we spent time with the Hamnes family, be it the big house in Eastwood Park or the farm in Deering. Good times and great memeories of a happy childhood surrounded by kind people. May your memories bring you joy and your family bring you comfort.
