Palmer Howard Bjoraa, the son of Marvin and Clementine (Freezon) Bjoraa was born on December 25, 1949 in Rugby, North Dakota.  He died at the age of 66 years on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, North Dakota.

Palmer was raised in the home of his parents in Rugby and attended school in Rugby.  On February 14, 1987 he was united in marriage to Carol Magnuson.  The couple made their home in Rugby.  He worked as a truck driver and also for the city of Rugby.

Palmer is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol; a sister, Lorraine Shjerve; brothers-in-law, Kenny and Don Magnuson; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dale Shjerve; a niece, Lory Johnson; and his parents.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19^th at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby with private family spring burial in the Fillmore Lutheran Cemetery.  Rev. Don Barsness, officiating.
