William Terry Bosley (78) was born in Bismarck, ND on September 25, 1938 and passed away February 3, 2017 at his winter home in Yuma, AZ.
Bill was the son of Walter Bosley and Eunice Fahrnkopf Bosley. He attended schools in Fargo, ND, Casper, WY and Rugby, ND. Bill was active in sports and music, he graduated from Rugby High School in 1956. Bill attended UND in Grand Forks, ND and Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, before entering the National Guard. Following his discharge from active duty he worked at the Benson County Abstract Company in Minnewaukan, ND. Bill married Fairy Sears in Minnewaukan on September 28, 1958. In 1959 they moved to Rugby, ND where he worked at the Pierce County Abstract Company.
In 1961 Bill was called to active duty at Fort Lewis, WA during the “Berlin Crisis”. In 1962 after his discharge from active duty Bill and his family moved back to Rugby, ND. Later moving to Williston, Devils Lake and returning to Rugby in 2010 where they made their summer home.
Bill is survived by his wife Fairy of 58 years, three sons, William Bosley, Jr. (Lynn) of Williston, ND, Neil Bosley (Rachel) of Casper, WY and Jon Bosley (Natalie) of Mill Creek, WA, a sister, Marlene Haugse, Rugby, ND, 10 grandchildren, Alexis Cantrell (Josh), Alysia Patterson (Dan), Sierra Bosley, Wade Bosley (Bailley), Dallas Bosley, Taylor Bosley, Morgan Bosley, Emily Bosley, Jacob Bosley, Joseph Bosley, 5 great grandchildren, Anisha Mitchell, Wyatt Bosley, Brooklyn Cantrell, Trenton Wood, and Danica Patterson, one aunt, two nephews, one niece and several cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter Bosley and Eunice Fahrnkopf Bosley, grandparents, William Bosley, Caroline Bosley and Zoe Barnthouse Bosley, and two brother in laws, Myron Haugse and Ivan Sears.
Bill was a pilot, an E.M.T. and a past member of the Rugby City Council, Rugby Volunteer Fire Department, Rugby School Board, Rugby Shooting Club, and is a member of Rugby Masonic Lodge and a Kem Temple Shriner.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Rugby, ND on June 29, 2017 at 10 A.M. |
